On Saturday, December 13th @ 11AM, Women Hold Up Half the Sky will be interviewing Kate Janke, a local Dharma teacher. Mindfulness practice has been at the core of Kate's life since 2004. Her teaching style and techniques stem from traditional Buddhist meditation and philosophies, coupled with secular mindfulness methods and applications. Kate started teaching mindfulness in the Oakland schools in 2008 for Mindful Schools.
Join host Tesla Monson as she interviews translational medicine student, Steve Lee on The Graduates. Lee is the co-founder of Seed of Health, a non-profit organization working to make medical care more accessible in Ethiopia. In his interview, Lee discusses his undergraduate career as a golden bear, interacting with Ethiopian government officials, and what it takes to start a non-profit. Lee is a MA candidate in Translational Medicine at UC Berkeley.
