Beginning Friday, September 21st listeners will hear KALX's special 50th on-air programming. DJs will celebrate each ten year span/decade of KALX history (1962-71, 1972-81, etc.) one week at a time, ending with the fundraiser.

In addition, part of the "Throwback" programming includes archived public affairs interviews, music interviews, and live performances all of which will be aired Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at noon respectively.

October 8th @ noon - Tania Ketenjian with Dalai Lama and Paul Ekman
October 15th @ noon - Michael Moore
October 22nd @ noon - John Lennon

October 3rd @ noon - Dead Kennedys live from Old Waldorf - October 25th, 1979
October 10th @ noon - REM live from the Old Waldorf - October 1982
October 17th @ noon- Red Hot Chili Peppers live from the Stone - July 5th, 1985
