News Sources:
Where do we get our news? Well, like other people, we keep up on the different things  going on in the world. Newspapers, like the San Francisco Chronicle, give us a great background for the Bay Area flavor and keep us in touch with breaking news on the national front and  the international scene. What about things that are happening on campus? Well, we can take a glance at the Daily Californian, every now and then to find out the latest gossip in student government and current UC Berkeley topics. We can also take a stroll outside of our news studio in Barrows and see what's going  on outside. Occasionally, we obtain live interviews from the latest Jesse Jackson demonstrations and other types of protests. Through our stroll on campus, we have access  to the student response to current issues, on local, national, and international levels.

KALX News Personnel:
The KALX News Department is operated mainly by students from the University of California, Berkeley, and other colleges within the bay area. The news producers and reporters come from a variety of academic disciplines, like legal studies, history, biology, and computer sciences. Several KALX staff members went on to careers in broadcast journalism. One producer who graduated last year got a job with KTVU.
