Join B-Fly on Thursday, August 7th at 6:30pm when she speaks with garage rock // “blues trash” one man band from Hell (or Bern, Switzerland), Reverend Beat-Man, ahead of his show at Bottom of the Hill in SF on August 8th.
Reverend Beat-Man started his Career in 1986 with his band The Monsters, then Formed Lightning Beat-Man One Man Band and changed his name in 1999 into Reverend Beat-Man. He has released uncountable albums on his own Voodoo Rhythm Records label.
He has toured around the globe like a maniac, won several national prizes in Switzerland for his work, and was nominated for the Swiss Music Prize in 2014 and Bern Music Prize in 2024.
His music has the roots from the beginning of blues and rock’n’roll but with a NOW! Touch. His live shows are so energetic…people say there is an atomic reactor sitting on stage!
This is the purest in rock’n’roll Switzerland has to offer! His songs tell the story of failure and resurrection in today’s complex society saturated with prejudices with a bleeding eye in the occult and black humor through songs like “Jesus Christ Twist”, “Black Metal”, “Don’t Stop To Dance”, or “I Got The Devil Inside”.
He’ll make your back crack, your liver quiver, and your knees freeze. And if you don’t dig that you’ve got a hole in your soul, so let’s give a big warm welcome for the Rev, your Beat-Man, everybody’s Blues Trash Preacher, the fabulous Reverend Beat-Man!!
