On Friday, September 11th at 2:30pm, join Surface Tension in conversation with Robert David “Lu” Edmonds, an English multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer renowned for his contributions to punk, post-punk, folk, and world music genres.
An early member of The Damned in the 70’s and a longtime member of Public Image Ltd (PiL), Edmonds has also collaborated extensively with bands like The Mekons, Shriekback, and Billy Bragg’s Blokes, blending Western rock with global influences such as Tuvan throat singing and a wide variety of instruments including guitar, saz, cümbüş, bouzouki, keyboards, and more.
Public Image Ltd. appears live with opener Plague Vendor on Saturday, September 12th at The Fillmore in SF.
