KALX Archive Player Goes Live!

Ever hear a show on KALX that you wish you could hear again? Or perhaps you want to shift your listening to a favorite DJ to another time? Now you can! Thanks to the KALX Archive player, aka the Ark player, you can now hear any program on KALX for up to two weeks after it airs!

Go to the KALX Calendar page and click on the show you want to hear. When you do, not only will the most recent playlist for that show appear, so will a link to the Ark player. It will be found in the top left of the playlist page. Just hit play to hear the show you chose, or refine your search using the calendar and time functions. You can select times within fifteen minute increments.

Radio Dunya Explores The Music of Soundway Records

On Radio Dunya Feb 27th 11:59p until Feb 28th 1am dj Amaing Grace presents a brief overview of one of her favorite music sources—London-based indie label Soundway Records. Tunes will range from their first 2002 release to music issued in January of 2023. There will be high-energy music spanning multiple decades and countries, from reissues of 1970s Ghana funk and nightclub sounds that began the label to the current wide-ranging cross-cultural artists on their roster.

FIAT LUX REDUX Debuts Tuesday Feb 21 at 9am

Join us for the debut of the newest public affairs program at KALX, Fiat Lux Redux on Tuesday Feb. 21 from 9-9:30am.

Fiat Lux Redux is a culled from the wide variety of conversations, lectures, and podcasts at UC Berkeley, and edited for air at KALX. Episode 1 features selections from a conversation with Judy Juanita, Madalynn Rucker and Ericka Huggins discussing their time with The Black Panther Party at an event hosted at UC Berkeley in October 2022 celebrating the publication of Comrade Sisters: Women of the Black Panther Party.
