On Sunday, March 17th @ 12pm, UK-based alt-pop three-piece Autoheart, sits down with Astral Projection for a live in-studio interview ahead of their show at Cornerstone in Berkeley later that same night.
After three albums over the last decade and more than one existential crisis, the band – singer Jody Gadsden, keys player Simon Neilson and guitar/bassist Barney JC – now have 3 million+ monthly Spotify streams (150 million all-time), 800,000 monthly Spotify listeners, 95k+ Spotify followers, and 5 million monthly YouTube views thanks to the band’s track “Stalker’s Tango” becoming an obsession of the anime/cosplay community, and then a chart hit.
The band have amassed a devoted fan base across the U.S. who identify with the band’s combination of melancholy, unbridled joy and honesty about the human condition in Jody’s unflinching lyrics. Answering the never-ending fan demands to see the band live, Autoheart will head out on their first ever U.S. tour in 2024.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album Punch, at the end of 2023, Autoheart reunited with Danton Supple, who produced the album, to record four ‘lost’ tracks, released together as The Heartbreaker EP, and a re-release of Punch, remastered by Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran). In the coming weeks, leading into the tour, the band will release an album of rarities and never-before heard demos.
