Tune in to The Graduates this Tuesday @ 9AM for an interview with Cat Taylor from the Department of Integrative Biology. Cat is a biological anthropologist who studies the postcranial skeletons of human and nonhuman primates. In the interview, she discusses her work before the COVID era, when she measured physical specimens in the National Museum of Ethiopia, as well as her work with digital data during the COVID era. Listen to hear her explain why she’s interested in anatomy and why so much of the work of today’s biological anthropologists involves addressing the sins of the field’s racialized past.
The Graduates, featuring graduate student research at Cal, is broadcast every other Tuesday on KALX 90.7 FM. Past episodes are available to listen and download free on iTunes or online. This episode of The Graduates is hosted by Andrew Saintsing, a PhD candidate in the Department of Integrative Biology.
