Claire studies the most quintessential of Californian topics: redwood trees! Claire’s research focuses on the symbiotic relationship between redwood trees and fungus in California, known as mycorrhizae.
In the interview, Claire talks about the ‘mycobiome’ of redwoods, and her passion for science outreach and education. Claire also describes her experiences climbing hundreds of feet into the canopy to study these incredible trees. It’s all about redwoods on The Graduates!
