On Tuesday, September 15th at 11am, Microtone airs a recent conversation with producer and multi-instrumentalist, Marina Aguerre, of Los Angeles based solo project, Dream Crease, and TJ Perrin from Brooklyn & San Francisco based artist-run label, PFR Records.
Drawing from otherworldly visions, recurring dream landscapes, and the natural world at her fingertips, Aguerre brings us a new realm of fantasy ambient on her second full length album, Blue Hour in the Living Room.
Using vocals, synths, and samples from her own backyard, Blue Hour in the Living Room seeks to capture the fleeting stretch of time between day and night known as blue hour: The transient and ethereal hour between sunset and night that intrigues all living beings, the quiet and stillness after the commotion of daytime, before the world of darkness emerges, where two worlds exist in one plane, separate only in time.
Catch Dream Crease live at Local Economy in Oakland on September 25th and Elk Green Meadow in SF Golden Gate Park on September 26th as part of the ongoing Earthling series.
