East Bay Soup Kitchen on KALX Live!

Posted on March 6, 2025

The six members of rock band East Bay Soup Kitchen holding their instruments and wearing chef hats

Clinton Burnett (lead vocals, guitar and trumpet) started the Concord based East Bay Soup Kitchen back in the late 90s as part of a school project. The Soup Kitchen was part of Steve Sage’s Guitar Ensemble class at DVC. Like most Kitchens many cooks have come and gone. After a 15 year hiatus they reformed in 2014, changed their name to East Bay Soup Kitchen are serving tasty tunes for the alternate minded.

The current lineup consists of Clinton Burnett (vocals, guitar, trumpet), Scott Cereghino (drums),
Eric Matsuno (bass), Bo Rai Cho (lead guitar), Chris ‘Chef’ Curry (sax) and T’Maro LC (vocals).

The band will be serving up tunes in the studios for KALX Live! on March 15th at 9pm. Your host this week is B-Fly who will conduct an interview with the group following their performance.
