Tune in to The Graduates this Tuesday @ 9AM for an interview with Emily Lam and Kaitlin Allen from the Department of Integrative Biology. Emily and Kaitlin are both members of the Vázquez-Medina lab, and they share a common interest in the physiology of marine mammals. Kaitlin wants to know why seals are so good at diving, and Emily wants to know how an increasingly stressful world is affecting the health of seals and whales. In the interview, they talk about the struggles of highly controlled lab experiments and the joys of chaotic fieldwork.
