On Wednesday, May 1st @ 7:00AM, DJ ((echoplex)) welcomes Bay Area songwriter and percussionist, Joel Gion, to the KALX studios to hang out, spin some music, and catch up on his recent musical odysseys.
As the long term percussionist of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Joel Gion has helped pioneer the current Psychedelic Rock movement. Now as a songwriter, he steps up to the mic to deliver his own tunes.
Most recently, Gion released his lush eponymous album on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records.
