KALX has been honored with three resolutions of support for our sixty years of service to the University and surrounding community. State Senator Nancy Skinner, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin, and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, all honored the station’s past with resolutions, proclamations, commendations, and good wishes for our continued success. We are grateful for their recognition and will strive to live up to our legacy and continue to improve upon it. The East Bay Times and other local publications covered these developments when they visited the station in March. KALX celebrated the milestone with a press conference and party at the station during the spring semester.
