KALX invites you to an adventure of exotica at The Chapel driven by the swirling-jangly genre-bending melodies of Los Angeles’ own Dengue Fever returning on Saturday, June 20th. Event details can be found here.
Dengue Fever evokes the stylings of 1960’s Cambodian rock with an American pop sensibility. Known for improvising in their live performances with an array of sonic influences, the eclectic jams are led by the haunting, dulcet, authentic delivery of Chhom Nimol, whose prismatic presence has brought her to once performing for the King and Queen of Cambodia. Ever since forming in 2001, time has only strengthened Dengue Fever’s authenticity in honoring their Southeast Asian psychedelic influences for the last 25 years.
Supporting Dengue Fever at The Chapel is San Francisco’s own BOLERO!. Hot off their sophomoric and first full-length album, Greetings Mother Earth, BOLERO! supports the night with a psychedelic fusion of Latin blues rock.
The Chapel is located at 777 Valencia, San Francisco, CA 94110.
All ages & wheelchair accessible.
Doors: 8:00pm, Show: 9:00pm
