On Saturday, February 28th, KALX and Eli’s Mile High Club announce Trough with Rip Florence, Bat Noise, and Intentionally Blank.
Trough is a band from Oakland, CA, originally formed in 2017. They play a self-proclaimed style of rock music called “jangle-skronk” which draws from a wide variety of influences including all manner of proto and post-punks, no-wave, noise rock, avant-garde, free jazz and pop miniatures. The group produces their abrasive aesthetic through succinct narrative tunes and a peculiar, defeatist sense of humor. The band has recorded three albums to date, and is currently hard at work on a fourth record, which will be released in 2026 with Psyched! Records.
Eli’s Mile High Club is located at 3629 Martin Luther King Jr Way in Oakland. The venue is 21+ and wheelchair accessible. The doors open at 8:00pm with music starting at 9:00pm. Tickets are available here while they last.
