Katsy Pline is an experimental guitarist and yodeler living in Berkeley, CA. Her latest album ‘Live at the Three Teardrops’ explores the infinite blue thru ambient instrumentals and reharmonized versions of classic country songs. Combining the electronic experimentation bubbling up from the greater West Coast freak americana scene with the yearning of early country western, the record searches for the living torch amidst the rubble and despair of the contemporary. In a present marked by the collapse of temporality and futurity, the tunes set out to glean new paths from long-forgotten routes, melancholic yet resolute. On previous albums, Pline has explored fingerstyle guitar, ambient country and kosmische countrypolitan.
