Tune in to The Graduates this Tuesday, August 27th @ 9AM for an interview with Mam Suteethorn from the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley. Mam recently earned her PhD after completing a research project focused on the interactions between people and trees in urban environments. She interviewed Buddhist monks at monasteries in Thailand to determine what makes people treat trees with reverence. She hopes to use her findings to inform campaigns to promote the protection of plant life in urban settings.
The Graduates, featuring graduate student research at Cal, is broadcast every other Tuesday on KALX 90.7 FM. Past episodes are available to listen and download free on iTunes or online.
