Mansionair Interview

Posted on March 3, 2019

Mansionair

On Tuesday, March 5th @ 12:15PM, DJ The Mick hosts Sydney based electronic trio, Mansionair, for a live in-studio interview ahead of their show at The Independent in SF later that same night.

The band’s debut full length album, Shadowboxer, was written and self-produced over a 3-year period – in living rooms, studios, a garage in inner-city Sydney, and finally a cabin in the Californian mountains. It’s the culmination of a journey that started with a viral hit single and led to high profile collaborations, a Grammy-nomination, ARIA & Billboard charting singles and several major support tours (CHVRCHES, Florence & The Machine, London Grammar, etc). But it’s also an album reflective of everything the band were going through personally & creatively – from mental health to sickness, relationship breakdowns to the ordinary coming-of-age struggles of youth.
