New Earth Farmers on KALX LIVE!

Posted on March 15, 2023

New Earth Farmers - Square

Tune in to KALX Live! on Saturday, March 18th @ 9pm for a live performance by New Earth Farmers, hosted by Feel Good Weird!

Bay Area rockers New Earth Farmers (FKA New American Farmers) are the duo Paul Knowles and his partner in life and music, Nicole Storto. They’re joined by a solid backing band, including Nigel Twist (The Alarm) on drums, James DePrato (Chuck Prophet) on guitars, lead guitars, and lap steel, and Kevin T. White (Chuck Prophet) on bass guitar.

Recorded in Napa/Berkeley and released in March of 2023, their album The Good Ones Got Away pulls them out of the Americana pigeonhole and into a new realm of musical possibilities. It’s their first full-length release under the fresh moniker New Earth Farmers, and features multiple guest artists: Alisa Rose on violin, viola, and bass violin, vocalist Melissa Phillips Deprato, and guitarist Dave Zirbel.

New Earth Farmers are gearing up for their Bay Area record release show, happening at the Make Out Room on Saturday, March 25th with Tom Heyman and Whateverglades. Other live dates are TBA. “We just want the listeners to get the songs, sing along and feel that they’ve been transported out of reality or out of their troubles,” says Knowles. “We have a lot of empathy for those that are going through loss or rough times. We are here for you if you want to get away for a bit.”
