Desolation Girl and Ness continue the East Bay Emo Revival with a special performance from grungegaze band Present.
Just a few days before the November 11th release of their brand new EP, Letters to the Lost, Present is taking over the KALX studio from 9pm to midnight on Saturday, November 8th. Blending modern grunge with the spirit of ’90s alternative, Present is a five-piece band assembled from all over the Bay Area. Between their beautifully crushing wall of guitars, driving drums, and authentic songwriting sensibilities, Present evokes nostalgia while creating driving, emotional rock that’s distinctively all their own.
In celebration of their upcoming EP, the band is treating KALX Live listeners to a special gift—they’ll be playing the entirety of Letters to the Lost live alongside some old-school set staples! If the in-studio performance leaves you craving more, you can check Present out in person at their EP release show happening in San Francisco on November 14th at Neck of the Woods with support from fellow local bands Giveaway, Losing Streak, and Stranger Than.
