KALX 90.7FM Berkeley
Ordinary people making extraordinary radio.
Posted on August 5, 2010
KALX is regular folks doing wild, unpredictable, extraordinary radio.
A malicious actor of some kind is targeting authors offering to sell them interview time on KALX. KALX DOES NOT EVER SELL AIRTIME TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON! The email “From:” address and the body of the emails change slightly, but they all claim to be from one of our DJs. They are not! Do not send any money to anyone in response to these emails!
If you have received one of these emails, please forward it to Tim Lynch at generalmanager@kalx.berkeley.edu so it can be sent to the proper authorities for investigation. We are working to have this fraud shut down and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this scam attempt maybe causing anyone.
