On Monday, November 24th at 4pm, tune in to hear DJ Queen Bee‘s interview with the London-based band, Yuuf.
Queen Bee recently spoke with Yuuf before their 11/12/25 show at the Kilowatt with Canadian Band Surf Hat. She got a chance to talk to all four members–Andrin, Anthony, Hugo, and Oli–on their first big tour and (most of) their first time in the United States. Hear about their experiences in the USA, how they met and started playing music, and what their favorite tracks are on the newest EP released this year: Mt Sava.
The band has released not one but TWO EPs in 2025–Alma’s Cove and Mt. Sava–and their music is a blend of their various cultural backgrounds and musical influences, culminating in a sound that evokes the natural world. They are all-instrumental–much to the consternation of those trying to sell them lyric videos online–but far from boring. Their music is evocative and could be played alongside Khruangbin. Their live show is especially engaging, and Queen Bee was lucky enough not only to catch the packed show at the Kilowatt, but to catch up with the band before they went onstage.
Tune in to Ears of Maize this Monday (11/24/25) on KALX to hear the conversation, which will air at 4pm Pacific. BIg thanks to Ears of Maize for the airtime, and Sparkle Motion for her editing prowess!
