On the next Method to the Madness, Friday, December 9th @ noon, PhD student Siva Bandaru will discuss Electro-Chemical Arsenic Remediation (ECAR)!
Electro-Chemical Arsenic Remediation is a technology that removes naturally occuring arsenic from grounwater. Developed by the Gadgil Lab at UC Berkeley, this affordable technology is currently being implemented in India and Bangladesh. Siva has worked with the project since 2012. Tune in to find out more about the impact of ECAR in saving millions from arsenic poisoning and providing access to safe drinking water to the local population. Local impact on rural communities in California will also be discussed.
