FRIDAY, APRIL 10th 8PM: Public School Records – On the Record!
Berkeley’s first student-run record label, Public School Records, has created a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talents. They’re bringing three student bands to these college radio airwaves! Your host for Night One is Off the Griddle.
Riley Frank – 19 year-old singer/songwriter
A.B.P. and the Spites – a three-piece garage rock band known for their raw live shows and beat-driven lyricism.
Ancient Quaffle – Berkeley Indie-Folk

Dandy Boy Records (Oakland, CA) is an indie bedroom label, run by Bobby Martinez, with an emphasis on supporting nice people doing cool shit. True to their word, Dandy Boy is bringing three super cool bands of super nice people from across the Bay Area, into the KALX studios, and onto your stereo! James Wavey – aka Michael Bridgmon is known for rhythmic poeticisms and presents them in a rocking soulful style.
Above Me – Still rooted in the sounds of noise pop and shoegaze, Above Me leans into the world of drum machines, synths and electronic music production techniques.
