Tune in on Tuesday, November 18th at 10:30am to hear Kowalski Jr.‘s recent talk with Todd Rundgren, the musician, singer-songwriter, and producer whose pioneering early ’70s solo albums including Runt and Something/Anything? announced him as a DIY pop wizard — and he hasn’t stopped experimenting since then. Across his twenty-five solo albums, as well as his work in the Nazz and Utopia, he has showcased his heartfelt songwriting and mastery of multiple instruments.
Todd and his band will appear at The Fillmore in SF on November 18th, as part of Todd’s Still Me (Still We) tour. He will be celebrating his catalogue of songs that are not only about who he is, but also about who we are.
Beyond his music, Rundgren is also known for the many albums he has produced for other artists — XTC, Grand Funk Railroad, New York Dolls, Patti Smith Group, The Tubes, The Psychedelic Furs, and Steve Hillage, just to name a handful of the more than fifty he has produced in total, including all of his own records.
They will discuss his early musical experiments, the influences that shaped his comic sensibility, his thoughts on emerging technology, and much more.
