General questions
As a non-profit, non-commercial radio station, KALX always appreciates sponsorships. As a thank you, we will announce your business on the air at designated times. For more information on underwriting opportunitites, please contact the Operations Coordinator at 510-642-1111 during business hours, Monday-Friday from 10a-5p.
If you're a local artist, you may request to be featured on our local showcase, KALX Live! on Saturdays nights. Please contact kalxlive@kalx.berkeley.edu for requests.
If you are a touring artist, please contact our Music Interview Coordinator at kalxinterviews@gmail.com.
You can call our main office number at (510) 642-1111 during normal weekday business hours or you can send us e-mail. For specific staff office hours and / or e-mail addresses, check out our Contact page.
Our terrestrial broadcast range covers most of the San Francisco Bay Area, from as far south as Fremont and Redwood City, to San Rafael and Petaluma in the north, and Oakland, Berkeley, and parts of San Francisco (damn, those hills) in-between.
You can also listen to KALX via live streaming over the web, or you can take your favorite campus radio station with you via our iPhone app. The app lets you listen to live streaming and view up-to-date playlists.
Berkeley's community and student radio station, licensed to the University of California at Berkeley, and proudly broadcasting at 90.7 FM in stereo with over 500 Watts of power.
Our services
Email the pertinent information to campus@kalx.berkeley.edu, 2-3 weeks in advance, and we'll try and get it on the air (everyday at 1:15 PM and 8:15 PM)

In order for us to consider your submission, you must give us at least four weeks advance notice.
At a minimum we will need the following info:
1) Name of organization
2) Contact name and contact information (one we can release to the public - office number, website, etc.)
3) Information for the PSA (2-3 sentences about your organization, including types of services and the best way for KALX listeners to get involved or use your service.)
Note that PSA's are for 501(c)3 organizations only!
The KALX Entertainment Calendar is a list read daily on the air of live music events and films going on in both the East Bay and San Francisco.
To submit an upcoming event, please contact us AT LEAST THREE WEEKS in advance by sending an email to kalxentcal@gmail.com.

Walk (don't run) to your nearest telephone and call the DJ at (510) 642-5259 and ask them. The DJs are very friendly and would love to hear from you, and they don't usually bite.
Also, we post playlists of songs we've broadcast recently. You'll find these under Playlists in the Programming menu. You can also look up playlists by DJ.
