Suver on KALX Live! Plus: My Pet Fossil

Suver will grace the KALX studios on this week’s edition of KALX Live! hosted by DangerVenture on Saturday, December 23rd at 9pm. The East Bay troupe have been revealing more new music at their shows in the past year so you’ll need to tune in to ensure your ears are up to speed. We’ll chat when you can find them in person soon and everything the band has been scheming since their ’22 Treatment Plan EP.  If you’re looking for a preview you can find the band at Little Hill Lounge in El Cerrito on Friday, December 22nd. And then we follow with even more. At 10pm we’ll air a recently recorded performance from Sacramento’s My Pet Fossil who were hosted by Off the Griddle. In between and following we’ll revisit some KALX Live! archives and track down some passes to a few shows featuring KALX Live! alumni that could be all yours. KALX Live! 2023 RetroSpectacular Extravaganza — Saturday December 30 – 7PM to Midnight

The tradition continues in 2023!   Back in 2011, the KALX Live! show crew had an idea… to make a special year-end episode that could look back on the plethora of exciting performances which took place during the year— a retrospective of spectacular proportions. The tradition of the “RetroSpectacular Extravaganza” was born then, and amazingly, we’ve been doing it ever since!

Tune in Saturday, December 30th at 7PM – Midnight to catch the KALX Live! 2023 RetroSpectacular Extravaganza hosted by Cia Cia La Pirata.

This year, we had to super-size it!  (Note that 7PM start time.)  Excerpts from every artist who performed on KALX Live! during 2023 will be showcased.  Don’t miss it!

Having sold more than nine million albums worldwide, Bruce Cockburn is a member of both the Canadian Songwriter and Canadian Music Hall of Fame, a winner of Folk Alliance’s People’s Voice Award, as well as 13 Juno Awards from more than 30 nominations. Bruce is continuing the celebration of the release of his 35th album, O Sun O Moon on True North Records.

Bruce Cockburn has enjoyed an illustrious career shaped by politics, spirituality, and musical diversity. His remarkable journey has seen him embrace folk, jazz, rock, and worldbeat styles while earning high praise as a prolific, inspired songwriter and accomplished guitarist. He remains deeply respected for his activism and humanist song lyrics that thread throughout his career. On all his albums Cockburn has deftly captured the joy, pain, fear, and faith of human experience in song.
